The Hackettstown Area Senior Hall of Fame was established in 1997 to recognize senior citizens in the Northwest New Jersey region who have made a significant impact on the lives of others in the community. The Senior Hall of Fame honorees are recognized during a celebration luncheon and ceremony in May, which is Older Americans Month. This year’s luncheon will be held on Wednesday, May 27th at David’s Country Inn in Hackettstown.
The Hackettstown Area Senior Hall of Fame has inducted 274 members since its inception. This roster includes individuals from Warren County and adjacent parts of Hunterdon, Morris and Sussex counties. We believe senior citizens are a vital group who contribute a great deal to their communities and society, and we are honored to recognize those who have gone above and beyond in service to others.
Individuals who are 60 years of age or older as of January 1, 2026, are eligible to be nominated to the Senior Hall of Fame. Nominations will be accepted beginning January 12, 2026, and must be received by Friday, February 27 in order to be considered (no exceptions for late entries). A selection committee of current Senior Hall of Fame members along with local business leaders, and representatives of the Hackettstown BID staff and Board of Trustees, will review all nominations and decide the Senior Hall of Fame Class of 2026!
When preparing your nomination, please consider the following questions/thoughts:
- How has the nominee gone above and beyond to positively impact individuals, communities or organizations in the greater Hackettstown area?
- Which community organizations or individuals have benefited from this senior’s specific efforts? • Beyond just length of service as a member of an organization, how has this nominee specifically contributed to the area community through their volunteer work?
