Hackettstown BID Businesses
HOW IT WORKS: HBID businesses wishing to participate will create a scarecrow to be displayed outside their store. The Hackettstown BID must be notified by the participating businesses no later than October 4, 2021. Scarecrows need to be in place by October 8. Scarecrows must be removed by November 11.
THEME: CARTOON CHARACTERS from any era
BE CREATIVE AND HAVE FUN. Every scarecrow must contain the basic characteristics of a traditional scarecrow, which include stuffing or hay that protrudes out of the hands, head, feet, and neck. It cannot just be a mannequin in a costume!

10/8 – All Scarecrows placed in front of participating businesses
10/9– Contest begins; Scarecrow Selfie Contest open

11/4 – Winner announced on WRNJ
11/8 – Scarecrows can begin to be removed by businesses

BENEFITS of Participation: Ample publicity from the Hackettstown BID and a chance to win phenomenal advertising!
