Hackettstown Business Improvement District To Celebrate 11th Annual Small Business Saturday.
The Hackettstown Business Improvement District announced today that it is working with American Express as a member of the Small Business Saturday Coalition Program. We encourage the community to support the amazing businesses of Hackettstown, we ask that you SHOP
SMALL during the 2020 Holiday Season”. Businesses will be welcoming shoppers for Shop Small Saturday, taking place
on Saturday, November 28th, as well as the week following for It Pays to Shop Small.
Some of our businesses offer online shopping as well as curbside pick-up for your convenience! We will continue to support our
Hackettstown businesses through the holiday season, including Friday, December 4th for Hometown Holiday. Although
Hometown Holiday will not be quite the same as past years, we do encourage you to stroll the streets of Hackettstown,
take in the lights and decorations, while visiting the businesses.
To encourage our shoppers to SHOP SMALL during the holiday season, the Hackettstown BID will have a drawing. Every time you SHOP SMALL, please submit your receipt to the BID office via email, firstname.lastname@example.org. For each receipt you submit showing that you shopped at a BID business, your name will be entered into our drawing for multiple chances to win $25 BID BUCKS, which can be used at any BID business in Hackettstown.
This year’s celebration is the 11th Annual Small Business Saturday, since it started in 2010, consumers have reported spending an estimated $120 billion across all Small Business Saturdays combined. That’s $120 billion toward helping communities thrive, spent over just ten days alone.
In order to drive shoppers to Shop Small® this Nov 28, the Hackettstown Business Improvement District is participating in the Small Business Saturday Coalition Program to spotlight small businesses and the impact they have on communities.
According to the 2019 Small Business Saturday Consumer Insights Survey, 97% of consumers who shopped on Small Business Saturday agree that small businesses are essential to their community and 95% reported the day makes them want to shop or eat at small, independently-owned businesses all year long, not just during the holiday season.
