The 7th Annual Hackettstown Halloween costume parade will go on this year but it’ll be virtual. Due to the pandemic and the need to keep everyone safe, we canceled our traditional Halloween parade.

Treat us with a photo of your pets and children and then the photos will be put together by the Centenary University’s Vibe Tribe to make a virtual Halloween parade that will be posted on Saturday, Oct. 31.

There will be a prize given out for the BEST COSTUME for each of the following groups:

  • Infant to 3-years-old
  • 4-years-old to 6-years-old
  • 7-years-old to 10-years-old
  • Best Pet Costume (Any Age)

To be part of the virtual Halloween costume parade, email your photo by Oct. 28, 2020 and the following information to

  • First name(s) and age of those featured in the photo
  • Residing town
  • Phone number
  • Full name of a legal parent or guardian

No late submissions will be accepted. By submitting the photo and information, you authorize the attached photo(s) to be included in a broadcast on the Hackettstown Police Department’s YouTube channel, website, social media pages and to be used by any other authorized person, group or organization.

The winners and the virtual parade will be posted on the police department’s social media pages on Oct 31. The winners will need to pick-up their prize at the Hackettstown Police Department.

The virtual Halloween costume parade is sponsored by the Hackettstown Police Department, Hackettstown Business Improvement District, Atlantic Health System/Hackettstown Medical Center and Centenary University.
